APPLY TO SNOWY PEAKS FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Applications for 2024-2025 open on April 1, 2024 at sp.summitk12.org. Students and/or families should complete all application steps during the open enrollment window. This window opens April 1, 2024 and ends April 30, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Applications received after April 30 will be placed on the school's waitlist.
All application steps must be submitted during the application window. The review period will be from May 1-May 22, and meetings with Mr. Smith will start the last week of May.
Priority: Per board policy, priority will be given to applications of students who reside in Summit County and/or are siblings of current Snowy Peaks students.
STEP 1
The student and parents should attend an informational Session. Attendance at one of these events is strongly recommended.
● English Information Session: Tuesday, March 26, 5:00 pm at Snowy Peaks
● Spanish Information Session: Wednesday, March 27, 5:00 pm at Snowy Peaks
STEP 2
The student completes an application to formally bring the admission process.
● Students in grades 7, 8, and 9 should complete this form with the assistance of an adult.
● Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 may complete the form individually.

STEP 3
The student should complete a short video submission to answer two questions:
1) Why do you want to go to Snowy Peaks, and
2) How can we help you change your life for the better?
STEP 4
The student should request recommendations from two staff members. Send this link to a counselor*, teacher*, or principal* who can speak to the student’s abilities. *Parents may complete this only if the student has previously been homeschooled.
Snowy Peaks will use the submitted information to create an initial callback list. After applications are reviewed, Snowy Peaks will call selected families to schedule a meeting with Mr. Smith.
Families should be notified of the final results by Mid-June. Note: this date is tentative. For students on the Waitlist: As spots become available, families will be notified by phone call and/or email.
